A Darwin of My Very Own

| | Crossposted

Apparently I'm still intent on getting a Darwin Award of my very own.

I know I have a well established reputation (in some circles, anyway) as a typography geek nerd, so it will come as little surprise to some of you that this makes me very, very happy.

(Incidentally, the web/usability geek in me strongly disagrees, and points out that their navigation and accessibility could be vastly improved with some trivial changes)

[Ed. With Alexandria doing it's impression of a broken pogo stick I wasn't able to post this when it happened. It's a bit late.]

Over the winter holiday I went to go see Brokeback Mountain with some friends. The next night, after the mead & hard cider had been flowing for some time, we played Apples to Apples. The movie kept coming up in conversation. Some time later Mark pointed out that somewhere along the way we'd started referring to it as "Bareback Mountain," but nobody had noticed. (Well, ok, I hadn't noticed, and nobody said anything until he did.)

That is a different movie, released later, with narrower distribution, and generally not shown in the same theatres as the original.
